Well, the first supper club event went down as planned, smooth as butter, and to the many rave reviews of those who attended. Thanks to all who came, for supporting the evening as well as to all our volunteers who helped; thanks also to Asya’s dad Harvey for documenting the event (check out all the photos at www. Ollis.phanfare.com); and to Jenny and the Women’s Industrial Exchange for hosting the event in their elegant Abel Wollman Dining Room. We hope to be back in action again soon. Until then, a picture is worth a thousand words.
Hi SKiz,
It made me hungry looking at the pictures. The mallun, sambol, flan and salad were my favorites. As a huge fan of South Indian vegetarian, I was immediately drawn to this menu but found myself loving the Sri Lankan menu. Can’t wait for the next dinner party! Let us know when.
cheers,
Marisa
Thanks, Marisa. Glad I could introduce you to some Sri Lankan food.
Best,
Skiz
Hello skiz
I was looking for Burmese grocery store online when i stumbled on your receipe on Burmese fish curry. It brought back alot of memories of my country Burma. I make Burmese food at home but sometimes i have to substitute the ingredients and spices. Anyway i didnt find any store online in New York. If you know any stores in New york can you please let me know. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Beatrice.
