The other day I was checking out the newly opened Tasting Room of The Peabody Heights Brewery, an independent brewing facility located just down the road from me. The spacious place has chairs and tables and a big bar serving all 16 craft beers that they brew there (open Fridays 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, 11-4 p.m.). The only thing missing was some food.
After taking a tour of the plant and speaking with the nice folks who run it, I suggested doing a pop-up there to increase the visibility of the place, and to allow me to flex my culinary skills once again. So was born The Sri Lankan Pop-Up @ The Peabody Heights Brewery, which is going down on Saturday, November 7th from 7-9 p.m.
I’m excited about this dinner because this is the first time my food is being paired with beer, or should I say, some very good beers. Two pints come with the meal, but the bar will be open the entire time, so you can try as many kinds as you like. And to wash down some spicy Sri Lankan food , there is nothing better than an ice cold one! Or two or three! So please join us! Seating is limited.
